I
think workshops are a valuable tool. I encourage taking workshops from a wide variety of artists. We can learn a lot when we stretch into areas and styles we don't normally paint in. There is valuable information we can glean from the expertise and experience of others.

I've included some links at the bottom of this page to start your search for workshops you can participate in.

M. Douglas Walton

Dan Burt

P
aintings done in a workshop are sometimes started and finished in one day. So, don't expect great results from your work when trying a new style that's different from your own.

The paintings that I've included may not be my best work. They are only here to introduce you to what can be done in a workshop and to encourage you to try something new.

Joan Hansen

A
ll of the paintings on the following pages are my own work and were painted (or started) during the workshop, incorporating techniques presented by the artist teaching the workshop.
